20th May 2013
From today children may bring in 1€ or 2 € to buy their tickets for Canary Day, which we are celebrating on Wednesday 29th May. They can buy 20 tickets for 1€ or 40 tickets for 2€, then on the morning of Canary Day they can use their tickets for turns on the games and stalls on the playground, to buy a cake, have their face painted, make something... It will be a fun morning! Children should come dressed up in Canarian costume on this day.

Today 2nd grade had a big surprise....José the Fireman came to vist them and to tell them all about his uniform, his work and how to keep safe in a fire! It was really interesting to see all his equipment and find out about his job. Thank you very much José!

Canterbury P2 blog:

Handwriting
I have put on an excellent web site that is used by the Spanish teachers and which can be used to improve handwriting in English too. It is already on the Spanish Blog. You can write in either English or Spanish and print it out. If you need to improve your handwriting try to do a little every day.
Check out writing practise!

We would like to remind Second Grade parents who bring their children to school in the morning that all children must enter the playground through the doors near the Theatre or by the dining room, NOT through the door round by Second Grade. Parents who wish to wait for the children to go into class must wait by the dining room.
